    TannerTrack stocks one model in each category. The FR18E-U is the mini option at 1.8 tonnes, built around a 16 horsepower Yanmar engine with a dig depth of around 2.3 metres, suited to garden beds, small trenches and general property projects. The FR36F-U is the compact option at 3.8 tonnes, built for heavier, more sustained work, larger trenching runs and general contracting jobs that would push the smaller machine past its comfortable range.

    What's the difference between the FR18E-U and FR36F-U?

    The FR18E-U is a 1.8 tonne mini excavator suited to home and small property projects. The FR36F-U is a 3.8 tonne compact excavator built for heavier, more sustained work and general contracting.

    Do I need a mini excavator or a tractor backhoe attachment?
